Wow.

I was just thinking yesterday: My only issue with the stability of X3 was that the game crashed sometimes when jumping to the same system.

And here I am, today, seeing that not only have noted been released, but steam has already updated AP!

Definitely gives me reason to continue playing :)

What you need to do is go into the x3tc keybindings (hit escape, controls) then go to interface(4th tab from the left i think?) scroll all the way down, and give cycrows cheat package a hotkey

if you wanted to make unique shields for each race, you could hack at it by saying some are 'better' than others.. for instance, teladi shields might be larger, or boron shields might be more efficient, or maybe argon use less of the ship's reactor.. id do it like so: 1 standard 1mj shield 2 argon 1...

if you increase the efficiency in the shields in the x3 editor that will increase recharge rates without using more shield power. That is your best bet.

ah ok, that makes sense - it should fill that niche fairly well.

of course, cmod comes with a good deal of graphical changes too - the one reason why i cant give it up, the IBL/FBL/Gauss/others graphic changes are simply too good to lose :oops:

that note about the auto-generated is that gazz has a spreadsheet that creates weapon values to be pasted into the tfile.

a script can not directly edit a tfile, and a script cannot directly read the tbullets/tlasers.


I posted more to ask how this compares to cmod, though..
