What universe you want to see in an X-like game?

So after playing Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2, the first thing that hit me are how beautiful and varied the ship designs are. Then it came to my mind "Imagine if we had an X game but in the universe of warhammer 40K!" Just imagining myself flying my little fury interceptor next an Emperor class or an Apocalypse class battleship makes me drool.

I also think Endless space universe would make a beautiful X-like game.

What universe you guys think would be a dream come true if they got their own X-like game?

As I'm currently playing bfg 2 aswell I get your point but I would say this is a script and modding post

There is however an issue with 40k. A cap ship in x is about a 20th the size of an emperor class battleship. Without seta it wouldn't be fun getting around anywhere.

I dont think it's going to happen as much as I'd like to see it.

No other universe than the X-universe with Split, Teladi, Xenon, etc etc.

There's a reason why i keep repeating that X3TC is easily on the top5 list of the best and most entertaining games i've ever played (And i've played alot).

also to be honest if bfg2 wasnt a 40k game i probably wouldnt rate it as high, its actually the cinematics that keep me interested as i like to see 40k in moving pictures.

I could totally go without all those cheezy races in an X-like game. They might have worked for a small sci-fi game done in the 90s and the technical/writing limitation back then, but the world-building is too stereotypical.
"Nice-funny species","materialistic Ferengi type species", "mean evil species", "Battlestar-Galactica former humanmade terraformer species (Cylon)" ....

Would by good if they do an "Andromeda" type restart, and jump a larger group of Argon/Terran to some other part of the galaxy. Meeting totally new species, and letting the franchise allow a reset in world-building.

A universe with more types of ships and classes than there were in X3AP, an endless and ever-expanding minecraft-style universe, with diplomacies changing for each faction and wars ending with the conquest of territories by one or other. This is how I hope to see this game one day.

Not unless it' a total conversion mod like the Babylon 5 mod for X3TC. Otherwise yeah I tend to not touch ship mods that introduce other ships from other universes not unless they are modified to balance in the X-universe or made to look like they belong like what Cadius did with the ship pack mod.
