I don't think that's much of a surprise--I'm betting half the population of the boards consists of people who cut their teeth on the original Elite way back in the early 80s.

White Tiger, yeah mate 'age' so far never worries me, but maybe 'great age' of 90 plus might have some impact hey, i keep myself fit with the swimming and biking every day, still kick the football around the park with the grandkids. Smoke the odd joint and in general just take every day as it comes, and odd that you mentioned the 75 year old granny b'cos there is a guy who is 75 years old who is in the next 'Off Topic' Survivor All Stars a retired Us navy seal who featured on the Survivor Pulau Tiga show who's handle is Rudy Boesch, and hats off to him too for going back for a second bout of torture hey. :)

31 here. Yup.. Loved Elite... Didn't do much trading, but killing pirates was fun. So was scooping up their debris and selling it....

Really loved Starflight by EA.

Wasted a lot of my youth playing those games.

Starflight ruled, using intelligent lifeforms for fuel, what a concept.

Many a school sports afternoon spent skiving off playing Elite first on my Acorn Electron (dig that black and white wire frame) and then the magic of colour on the BBC 32.

Going off the topic but I said it before somewhere else - it would be a cool mod to devolve X² to the wireframe of the original Elite.
