Is there a link laying around for the program to unpack .pck files?

Hi again Heretic666,
There are two easy ways of unpacking .pck files:-
Use X2tool - available from Downloads\ X2\Bonus Material - 2nd from bottom - X2-The Threat: Modder's Kit v1.4 (lots of good stuff here).
Use Doubleshadows ModManager to create a new mod, copy the files in with ModManager, and then Extract them with the decompress option.
Both work, I use whichever is the easiest at the time.. if you use X2Tool and have a lot of files to unpack, I have a .bat file available to make it easier.

I having problems activating the script editor. I activated it already in my previous save, now that I started a new game, I cant seem to activate it.
My pilot's name is Julian (default), my ship is not docked. I use capital T on "Thereshallbewings". and I type the code in change the pilot name, not the ship name. What could be wrong?

when u type in the name, it should keep your pilots name as Julian, does that happen when you try ?
if so, its likly the script editor is enabled, remember it doesn't open when you do that, u have to do that seperatly be going to the global command console.
u could also goto the gameplay options and check if the Artifical life settings is there, then u'll know if its enabled or not

Ok i am doing something wrong here, I got the script editor to start and i added the spk file to the folder so that i can run some of the scripts but here is where the problem is. I try and run any of them and it give me an error, i dont know what i am doing wrong. I tried to add some money to my account but as soon as i click on the mod to activate it it gives and error and nothing else happens.
It is saying "command rejected"
I am probably missing some small thing any advice?

Im having a bit of trouble activating the SE.
i started a new game, changed pilot name (and yes, im sure it was the pilot name) to Thereshallbewings, however, my name changes to it.
then i opened command console and hit s, but i dont have the option.
anyone know what i am doing wrong?
just kidding, i dont know what i did, but it just worked. the only thing i knowingly did was put ship to idle (i read that it was needed to activate the x2 SE).

Looking for control profile (.xpf) editor
I searched the scripting forum and didn't get any hits on opening an XPF file. Is there any tool that can manually edit the profile files (default.xpf).
I can open them in a text editor, they are just number sequences, but comparing my custom with the default there is no way to decode which lines are which commands. Unless anyone has source code that lists them?
I am trying to reset my view commands on my joystick POV and it is just not sensitive enough to get X3 to acknowledge POV look NE/SE/NW/SW. I was hoping I could edit an xpf file directly if there is a tool for it.
X3editor/modmanager don't seem to work on these files either
Thanks
